IJA Newsletter - January 2012
Dear subscribers and friends of the IJA,
We are happy to share with you the following information:
Article publications
For your information, the first articles of Vol. 64, 2012, have been uploaded to our site and are freely accessible to all registered individuals. This year we intend to abandon the quarterly article publication system and release articles to the web as soon as the editing procedure is finalized.
The IJA impact factor (IF)
Following the implementation of open access in 2010, the five-year IF of the IJA increased from 0.455 to 0.617. We hope that the growing number of uploaded articles, together with the growing IJA registrations, will further improve our IF.
IJA and the AquacultureHub
Beginning January 2012, the IJA will be accessible for search and harvest of articles to all AquacultureHub members. The support and sponsorship of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education and the Hamilton Library, University of Hawaii at Mānoa, together with the Society of Israeli Aquaculture and Marine Biotechnology (SIAMB) and The Israeli Journal of Aquaculture - Bamidgeh (IJA), who jointly signed an official MOU have enabled us to enjoy a well of knowledge and its free distribution throughout the world. For more information concerning IJA archived articles by means of the HUB search engine, click
AquacultureHub . You are invited to join the group. IJA lists of contents and abstracts continue to be freely accessible from our website at
www.siamb.org.il.
